Antique Serving PIE LIFTER Silverplate Wallace 1881 Aesthetic ALPINE Server

Here is a lovely antique silverplate or cake pie lifter server in the collectible ALPINE pattern first introduced by Wallace in 1881. This serving lifter has an Aesthetic bird, flower urn motif on the handle with a lady, dragonfly, strawberries and a flower and leaf motif engraving in the serving area. The large engraved flower and leaf design in the server area of the lifter adds to the beauty of this piece.

In spite of its imperfection (see description below) this is a lovely unique silverplate serving lifter.

The silverplate pie server is in good condition with imperfections. The overall silverplate finish to the front of the server, both on the front and back handle, and the front and back of the serving area has pin dot markings (please see photos that show this). At the top of the curved server area, there are several small clusters of silverplate pin dot pitting loss (see photos). A general overall wear to the engraved area that can be seen when looking very closely at the silverplate. There are some nick and light surface marks showing use over time.

The reverse side of the pie serving lifter reads Wallace Bros.

Measurements: 9 2/8" long, 2 1/2" wide across the server area. , 98 grams
