Here are 2 vintage Chinese silk embroidery panels of flowers, bird and a butterfly with brocade borders. Circa: 1970's.
The green silk panel is of a embroidered bird and flower. It measures 9 1/2" x 10" approx. The condition is very good with 1 tiny fault. The back panel will need resewing at the bottom edge.
The second vintage Chinese silk panell is of a embroidered butterfly and iris flower. The Chinese symbol butterfly represents love, specically young love.
It measured 11 2/8" x 10".
The condition of the panel is in fair condition with faults. There is a tiny opening on the inside border of the front of the panel that just needs a bit of glue or stitching. The reverse side of the panel has opened up along the top edge and will need to be re-glued or hand stitched to hold in place. Previous owner has done some hand stitching on the reverse side to hold everything in place. The silk is not lying flat along the left side and may need to have the silk re-adjusted.
