This listing is for an antique Chinese hand embroidered sash panel that has silk tassels at the bottom of the panel. The embroidery work is fantastic and features figural men with gold couched threads. Lots of embroidery work within the panel. I was told that this robe sash panel was Mandarin and from the 1920's.
This robe sash panel with tassels is best suited for display under glass due to some fragile areas (see condition below).
Antique Chinese Silk Embroidered Panel Robe Sash Tassels Measurements: 48" in length to end of tassels. 35" in length measuring to the end of the silk portion.
2 1/2" wide at the top loop end and 4" at the bottom of the embroidered silk areas only.
Antique Chinese Silk Embroidered Panel Robe Sash Tassels Condition: Fair to good condition. Overall the silk is in very good shape as well as the embroidered areas. There is some loose gold couched threads mainly located on the 2 embroidered figures at the bottom and the lower embroidered area. The main concern is the shattered lace located under the embroidered area very lower portion of the robe sash. The silk tassels are also show some wear to the silk.
It is recommend that the buyer display this item framed under glass to further protect it.
