This is an antique French Metis sheet with lovely detailing of Reticella needle lace, cutwork and padded hand embroidered work. Also, there is a large Art Deco hand embroidered HL.
This flat full sheet has detailed hand done work of 5 Reticella needle lace inserts medallions as well as pretty flower and trailing leaf hand embroidered work. The antique French sheet is finished off with a hemstitch hem around the 3 sides of the sheet.
The antique French bed sheet is a light weight sheet. The seller told me that it was linen and it does feels cool to the touch. I think it is Metis which is a blend of cotton & linen fibers combined. I have taken a closeup of the fibers.

Condition: The Antique French Sheet is still in very good condition. There has been 1 small cloth mend (see photo). There are a few spots where the hemstitch hem may need some thread tucking in or reinforcing with an needle and thread.
