Selling "As Is" for the embroidery work. There are some faults with the sheet's linen fabric with 3 previously repaired mends to the sheet and 5 holes to be mended by the buyer. Please read the description and view all photos before purchase.

This is a antique French linen sheet with superbly hand done embroidered padded whitework and monogram initials of C L.

Antique French Linen Embroidered Sheet Measurements: 67" wide x 105" length approx. (twin). Color: White. Material: Linen - medium weight.

The French linen sheet is heavily hand embroidered in a raised padded whitework and is detailed with lots of flowers and 2 birds. The embroidered monogram of C L is lovely with script lettering and swirling designs of flowers and plumes.

As the embroidered work is so lovely, I am listing it for sale even with it's imperfections in the linen fabric. There have been 3 small cloth mend repairs. In looking over the linen material I can see a small cluster of tiny repairs needed. These are located at the bottom of the sheet. There is a faint small discoloration mark where these holes are. 1 small mend needed located near the embroidered bird area. A small cluster of a dozen or so rust dots at the left edge of the sheet (see photo).

The return area with hand embroidered detail is 15" deep to the bottom edge and 22" wide in the center area. The hand embroidered monogram initials are 6" x 2 1/2".

The antique French sheet is nicely finished off at the bottom edge with a pulled threadwork design. This detail of hand embroidered work is so skillfully done and it just isn't found in today's linen.
