This is a lovely antique Metis French sheet featuring hand done flower embroidered work, hand embroidered S N monogram with dots & hand done drawn ladder (jour) work.
Antique French Metis Sheet Measurement: 80" wide x 108" long
The monogram initials S N are encircled in an embroidered line & dot bourdon point motif. There are 3 hand embroidered flowers connected by embroidered dots to form a curving swag beneath the embroidered S N monogram. The swag interconnects with the geometric pattern of drawn ladder (jour work) also crossing the sheet. The embroidered monogram on the antique French Metis linen bed sheet is 5 1/2" in diameter.

The antique French Metis Linen bed Sheet is a medium to heavier weight bed sheet.
Antique French Sheet Material: The bed sheet is French Metis which is both cotton & linen fibers combined. I have taken a closeup of the fibers.
The antique French Metis bed sheet weighs 3 pounds and is warm to the touch.
I was told that the antique French sheet dates to the 1930's.
Condition: In very good pre-owned condition. I saw 1 small mark and a sprinkling of light dirt marks on the antique French Metis bed sheet. Also a handful of small mends have be made to the drawnwork threads at the bottom of the antique French Metis sheet.
