This is an antique French sheet with great detailing of needle lace, cutwork, embroidered & drawn ladder work. Also, there is a large hand embroidered E L monogram & cutwork & dots embroidery in a circle around the E L monogram initials.
This detailed hand done work in all in the bottom portion of the bedsheet. There are 5 handmade needle lace medallions on the antique bed sheet. The needle lace medallion is of a pineapple ornament (a symbol for hospitality). There are 3 hand embroidered cutwork motifs on the antique bedsheet.

The antique French bed Sheet is a light weight sheet. The seller told me that it was linen. It feels cool to the touch. It may be Metis which is a blend of cotton & linen fibers combined. I have taken a closeup of the fibers.
Condition: The Antique French Sheet is still in excellent condition, with no tears or holes. I saw approximate 4 tiny to small marks although the sheet looks clean & pressed.
One of the needle lace medallion has a few loose stitches & will need a tiny mend to secure the needle lace medallion work. Red embroidered laundry marking and black ink laundry marks on the bottom inside seam.
