The is a antique hand embroidered linen lablecloth with some wool wear. This heavy linen tablecloth is beautiful with lavish hand embroidery of griffins and other motifs which are embroidered in metallic thread. I believe that the linen tablecloth is meant to be a round one with a scalloped edge. I can see the stamped pattern however it has been finished off with a machine stitched hem on the 4 sides making it a square tablecloth.

Antique Hand Embroidered Tablecloth Measurement: 44" square (approx).

Antique Hand Embroidered Tablecloth Condition: Fair Condition. There has been wool wear loss in the pink and blue embroidered areas on the tablecloth. A lot of the black crosses pattern have lost the embroidered stitches and the black embroidery near the scalloped pattern. Some frayed threads at the machine stitched edging.
