This listing is for the hand embroidered whitework on a 19th century French handkerchief and not the handkerchief itself. There is also a crown and JL initials in one corner of the antique handkerchief. Sadly, the fine lawn center area has some holes to the lawn ground.
The salvage areas of the antique French handkerchief are beautiful examples of extensive whitework embroidery. The whitework embroidery consists of a continous flowers and trailing leaves. It is approx 1" around all 4 sides and slightly deeper in the 4 corners.
The embroidery whitework is suited as salvage for sewing or doll trim projects where you want to add some whitework embroidery trim.
The antique French handkerchief has been washed recently and just needs to be pressed before framing or using for sewing projects.
Please take a close look at all of the above photos which are intended to form part of the item description.
